Dungey needs to pull a Hannah and go in the Suzuki bosses office and demand his championship bonus for the running out of fuel incident in Texas. Imagine losing millions of dollars because a major team who has been racing motocross the world over for the past forty plus years put too small of a fuel tank on your bike. LMAO. They have been adding capacity to race bike tanks since the 70's, absolutely zero excuse for that one. It's like they robbed Dungey at gunpoint.

Relitigating what happened at Freestone isn't going to mean anything, but if it's going to be done, remember that it's very, very likely that Suzuki used a non-standard, although legal fuel that was known to have a risk of rapid evaporation in high heat conditions in order to get a little more power. Whether Dungey was involved in that decision or not is unknown, but obviously there was SOMETHING about his bike (and Metcalfs, since he ran out right after the finish) that was different from everyone else's. It's almost certain that someone took a known risk in that case and it just didn't work out. The 1 to 2 HP difference attributed to the fuel sure looks like a bad bet now, but beforehand someone thought it was worth a try.
Worth a "try" during a Championship race? What an incredibly bad bad call by the whole lot of them, why risk something like that at that stage of the season?? Where was Goose when all this happened too? Adding to that problem the fact that Dungey stood at the start line like a fool because his bike was still at the rig and refusing to start,he'd be wise to ditch both the Suzuki and Goose too for that matter, its been reported that same starting problem happened again at the rig before another race after Southwick, that's something that should have been resolved never to rear its ugly head again
,RD will do great on the KTM,he'll be signed up to a team with an awesome pedigree and great amount of professionalism

Goodbye to Suzuki and all its associates that cost the Poor guy the Outdoor title I say,end of story

I bet Dungey thinks that's hilarious.

WTF is with the Suzuki bashing??.....running out of fuel, and having an electrical issue is minor compared to BOTH Hondas blowing their engines at Southwick. What about the ongoing issues with the KTM's all season? Lets not forget Reed was still in it until his engine blew....so where are all the "Hondas are a POS" threads??

Remember, Allessi was a contender on KTM before going to Suzuki. Something else happened.

I love this debate in motorsport, it happens often, but usually results in a fail. Except when you have those special riders, the ones that refuse to believe the talk, come into the situation with a chip on their shoulder determined to make it work. (Rossi and Yamaha, RC and Suzuki) Not saying Dungey has the talent of those two, but I dont think anyone can deny that he has the heart or determiniation of the two. IMO
