whats the deal with tickles ride?

His ride turned into marriage, and now he finally realizing it's results. God bless those who can be married and pursue a career at the highest level of commitment.

Reed..Windham..Metcalfe..Rattray are all married and they still win..Those are just a few that came to mind i know there's more that are married.

Plain and simple....................Tickle has never been good outdoors

Marriage could be a hindering factor is you " Let it!". It doesn't seem to hinder a lot of other guys. He is obviously got his head some where else right now....and it's showing in the results. I haven't heard any rumors of an injury and so forth.....so something is up.

I believe the thread was intended to discuss Tickles bike issues. It is a bit odd that his bikes are the only ones having problems.

Tickle is kinda like Morias, outdoors just isnt his bag

When has he ever had a good outdoor season? I don't think he rides well outdoors and that is showing this year. I mean he is on the best bike out there and still cant put it together. Unless he is hurt or something mysterious like Mono or the EB virus then he cant blame anyone but himself.

Another pitfall that riders get into is distractions. Distractions come in many colors: hanging with the wrong "friends", not putting your time to good use, putting your training off because of other "fun" issues and the best one "GIRLS AND WIVES".
In my opinion, if you want to be a serious racer who wants to really win Championships, then you better understand the issues with girls and wives.
(Note: this does not refer to girls, women and wives who know what is expected of a racer and how much time the racer will have to devote to his sport, training, flying, practice, racing and is willing to not only allow the racer to do his work and job, but give him complete support and assist him in attaining his goals by giving up a lot of their time and energy.) The other 95% of the opposite sex will most likely become a distraction to the racer and his career, in one way or another. A real racer who wants to succeed in this sport must make valid decisions on everything he does in order to move forward in his career and become a Champion. I have seen way too many talented riders lose their drive to win or become too pressured from girls and the end result was loss of "real" friends, loss of support group members ( who only look out for the riders best interest), loss of parental support, alienation of most if not all the people who helped the rider attain his goals up until that point. So, if you are thinking about getting a girlfriend, take a long hard look at what you are getting yourself into and if it is good for your career. If you have any doubts at all,

Marriage and then wondering what's going to happen next year...IMO

I always thought Tickle was better outdoors than in IMO. For years he was the only one holding the flag for Star racing and that is how he earned his ride with PC.

I think his outdoor season has been a mental hurdle. He was always just behind the top guys and I think when he moved to PC he kept that mentality. With his riding ability he can definitely win, but he doesn't have the confidence the other riders on Mitch's team have. You can just see it in his demeanor and attitude even during the Supercross season.

He did win a Supercross title and in no way was it luck, but the pressure and mindset of being a champion is lacking for him.

The boy has the talent but not the drive mentally at this stage in his career.
