Great ride for that kid. Could you imagine JBS, MA, and RV at the MXDN

This whole thread is about Big Len and Bob M playin' on the internet. Has nothing to do with Alessi. It's just part of the motodrive game. Get with the fun.

Far as Alessi goes, not even twenty yet. Great racer, great athlete and he may not ever beat James or ever gonna close the gap but he's gonna put more time on the other sucka's.

James has more under the hood........Mike may just be born unlucky as far as titles but I don't see Hill, Stroupe, Townley, Short, Heple, tedesco, ferry, KW or anyone else beating him...... outdoors and consistently.

Far as villopoto is concerned ? Well? We will see....bloom is off the rose me thinks. Villo has his work cut out for him nowaday's

The kid is sittin' there trying to figure out what he needs to do to win the Championship. He will get it figured out, if not this year soon. Good ride 800.
He better get it figured out this year. 2009 will be a lot tougher when RV and RD move
up to the 450's. Did anyone notice that RV's fastest lap time in the 2nd moto was faster
than the 450's moto 2 fastest lap.

Not another one of thses post. Let me guess, this is the first time you noticed one of the guys in the lites class running the same pace as the big bikes.

Mike looked awesome. Finishing 2nd to James Stewart is an amazing accomplishment.
I'm sure the tight lipped approach of the Stewart Camp gave 800 even more hope that he would win this one. He was pre-entered but that s about all we knew.

If James didn't show up, who would have beat Alessi? No One ,thats who.
He beat Millsaps by 8 seconds in M1 and 47 in M2.

Prob just thinking what could have been.
At least someone has stepped up to try to run with James.

While Mikey waits around for JBS to crash himself out Townley will become a factor and Alessi will find himself saying "Maybe next year" - Again...

Mike did great and has nothing to be bummed about.
Same story when Chadd rode his ass off but couldn't match RC's speed (or James) but finished top 2 or 3 every single week until those guys didn't race, then he won championship.
Mike just has the unfortunate timing of being in the game the same time as James.

I talked to mike and he was happy to get 2nd but was pissed about always seemingly getting 2nd at the same time. he's a good kid and he looked fresh after 2 brutal motos, he loves scooters and he loves racing...a racer. maybe the jackhole haters that call themselves moto lovers can appreciate it this year.

pretty funny but mike goes "man bobby you are taking some crap off of RV this week, calling you out and stuff" then he starts laughing. he asked me if we know each other and i said never met him and he looked kinda surprised.

his bro jeff looked super smooth and fast, smoother than mike even in some places, i hope he keeps kicking ass too. there'd be one stoked Tony A walking around the pits smiling more than he already does. you can tell he is very proud of his kids.

i think mike likes hangtown and we may be in for some good bar banging for the lead. does anybody have that burrito trucks number that james got a tummy ache from a few years ago? call in an order for him and his posse.
Good post. Fuck the 800 haters, that boy comes to race!

A few things: I guarantee Alessi has done more laps at Glen Helen than any rider...ever. He knows this was his best shot at winning an overall all year, and he got schooled by Stewart (duh) Not trying to be a dick here, but he will never win a chamionship.

It's refreshing to see a rider upset with second place.

We need more guys on the line with that attitude, or Bubba's going to have it easy this year.

Well then, should they just give JBS the check and the # 1 plate now? To say that Alessi will never win a championship is just....just....just pretty fuc$in ignorant! How could you know that?

What if Stewart wads it up at Hangtown, or blows a motor, loses a brake, etc, etc.

Isn't that why they even bother to run the races??? Anything can happen...its racing...

I say Mike did awesome and has stepped it up big time. If 800 stays healthy and JBS does get hurt or has a few bad motos, he has a great shot at this title...

Mike was in perfect position to capitalize on any mistake James might have made... and there were a few "moments" when James got a little out of shape, so never say never... wait a minute...

Never really been a huge Alessi fan, but I have to admitt, I like watching the kid ride outdoors. He uses every inch of the bike moving around and he always looks like he is attacking...

With that said, some of you guys need to take off the Alessi colored glasses and realize that barring James crashing himself out this year, he's got the Championship locked down.

Factor in the Honda contingency of Townley, Millsaps, Short and Tedesco ( #9 will grab the second spot on the podium at least once) - Add Helpler and Langston back in the mix when they are healthy (they both can and will finish in front of Alessi before the season is over) and you will have another year of Alessi fans saying Yeah , but if only...

Next weekend:
Stewart
Alessi
Short

Enjoy it while you can...

I don't know why I feel the need to do this but Alessi is one bad dude on a bike. He got too much shit for the "hype" thing that happened. He came out cocky and got knocked down. But he came out swinging the next weekend and has been swinging ever since. I always cheer for him and really thought he would win it this weekend.

One thing you have to admit about Alessi is that he is about as pure a motocrosser as you can be in this day. He really isn't that good at Supercross, trains really hard and gets pissed when he doesn't win. He is pretty hardcore too. Anyone remember when he dislocated his shoulder right after the start to the second moto in Southwick(?) a few years ago? And still finished?

Hmm - Interesting for you to say that. For the last three years I have been reading posts from this guy named BobbyM who keeps saying things like - You just wait and see - Mikey is going to whoop the a$$ of (fill in blank) this year and win the championship...

ruh roh...you guys honeslty think Alessi will beat Team Honda this year? Once Townley heals up and Millsaps gets back east to the tracks he's more familiar with, Alessi will be lucky to podium...hell I bet Tedesco will school him once he races himself back into shape.
Also keep in mind that Alessi basically sat at home and did nothing but train and ride and eat while everyone else was traveling racing sx every weekend or were on the couch with injuries. He couldn't have even podiumed in the lites, which is why he skipped the class all together. I don't know why you guys are so in love with Alessi wtf
