The ginger ninja is probably shitting himself over this lol. He thought he should be MX1 rider based on points this season (from pulpMX show).

Gotta remember that Roger Decoster is the USA team manager and Ryan Dungey is his star child.

Although, the MXDN this year is a Monster sponsored event, therefore I figured RV2 would be RV1 at the MXDN.

The Roger thing is how I see it; however, when it's all said and done...

RV2 is having the same kind of year he did when he last riode the MXoN...&...we all know how that went.

Does it matter, seriously? I think the primary difference is that MX3 has to run back to back motos.

. . and he has to keep him sweet for the KTM deal? Possibly ?

From what he said on the the Pulp show, I'm guessing RV is going to be really pissed at this decision. Will prob use it for extra determination to beat Dunge in the next few rounds. Would be kind of weird for Dungey to lose the title and still run the no1 plate if it worked out that way.

That is a crazy hard decision to make. It's really a flip of the coin. LIterally, Decoster should of just flipped a coin.

Funniest shit- it used to be USA against a world, now you are ready to cut each others throats for a pity argument of who`s gonna be MX1 rider. No wonder that country is a mess.

This is a bit silly. If we were second last year no one would care about which guy would would run # 4 or 6 would they?.

Villopotos side has a point but Dungey has also led team USA to the last two MXDN victories and won the MX1 class both times.

It's not a team effort for the US anymore. It's about the individuals on the team and who gets to run the #1 plate.

Sure, that is it...NOT!

The real credit goes to RD running the #1 & bringing it home for the last 2 years.

Dungey has done MX1 the last two years. Makes sense to keep him there.

That hurts coming from someone who's country had an unemployement rate of 16.2% after the second quarter of 2011, ranks 94th in GDP and has an average monthly gross income of $890. You guys are absolutely killing it over there in Latvia!

Actually as far as strategy goes team USA is probably better off with Villopoto in MX3. The MX1 rider usually gets the better gate pick and since RV seems a bit more adept at passing riders quickly he may be better in that role than Dungey would be with the worse gate pick.

I was talking about 1998- 2001 kind of America when I lived there. Or perhaps I didn`t pay enough attention, but I remember it being quit different, more decent. BTW, unemployment is 12%

It`s team decision who goes first to the gate. You CAN choose.

Since RV's health and stamina appear to fine, riding the MX3 class ( back to back motos) should not be a problem . With Dungey having problems passing riders ( it took him 30 mintes to get around Barcia in both moto's) , he probably needs the best gate pick he can get . RV riding MX3 will probably get a crappy gate pic , but we all know how good he is at coming through the pack , passing riders and getting up front . Smart move by Decoster , its obvious his golden boy needs all the help he can get .

It doesn't really matter if 1 is 2 and 2 is 1 or 1 is 1 and 2 is 2. No matter how you stack them, they are the two fastest riders in the world right now. That's bad news for the rest of the world. Again.

Star child? That is one of the gayest things that I have read on here.

You're probably right since they won't be racing Millville,Washougal or Lakewood for the Des Nations. We'll do just fine.
