Did you see that Rickie Fowler tied for 2nd? he went like 13 under for the weekend, dude who won was 17 under.

He sure made the right choice of which career path to take.

he was playing really good. on Sunday, Fowler had at least 5 birdie putts miss by less than an inch, but that's just how golf is sometimes.

Adam Scott won, an australian and Jason Day also from australia was right there as well.

Sunday was an exciting day to watch golf, lots of cool stories and contenders on the final day

^^^This. And to be competitive in golf you only have to spend 1K on clubs every few years + course fees. In moto you have to pay 8-10K for a bike every few years + track fees. A lot of my friends play golf and I pay just as much if not more to ride at a track as they do to play 9-18 holes.

a quick guess from me would say a decent 25 out of 40 watch/play golf in america alone.

some of the up and coming stars from other countries (McIlroy, Ishikawa, etc) are increasing that number daily.

definitely apples and oranges when comparing viewers/players

ps... my dad had never played golf until this year even though i've spent a lot of time playing, he started watching golf on tv a few years ago.

I thought Stevie Williams won!! Of course his percentage was probably more than Chad has made all year racing. At least as far as purse money goes. I was really happy for Scott though.

yeah it was definitely cool that Scott/Williams won it. Scott has one of the best looking swings in the sport. you can tell Williams brought a lot to the table for Adam too, he looked like a guy that has been winning his whole life.

but i thought the interview afterwards from Williams was a little over the top. best ever? come on buddy, better than the first Masters or all 14 majors over 12 years? lol

Love golf, and watch golf. I couldn't give up moto for golf only nor could I give up golf for moto, so I guess I'll continue to be quite mediocre at both!

It was great to see Adam Scott win with Stevie on the bag, and I'm sure Peelout, that Stevie was just getting into Tigers kitchen a little bit. I was hoping to see them in the same group at the PGA, but alas, they are not. That would have been awesome.

Don't disagree with your view, but he wasn't on the bag for the first Masters victory. To compare the victory this last weekend to some of Tiger's other memorable major wins is pretty ridiculous and funny, but given how the situation has unfolded he is obviously really pissed at Tiger and happy to have gotten the better of him, if only for one weekend.

I’m not saying there wasn’t a personal dig in there at Tiger…but who’s to say it wasn’t his best win ever? 8th at that tourney and 145th overall for steve. WGC is a pretty big tourney….I mean, Steve may have had the best weekend ever as far as golf goes and carrying the bag for a mellow, low-key guy like Scott….might have been his most enjoyable tournament ever not having to deal with an ego that’s as big as the state of Ohio? Just saying it’s hard to understand what makes a guy happy working for one person over the other and what makes a person happy at work in general. Definitely sounded like a dig though...

I agree with ya on Scotts swing….that is a thing of beauty! Going to be an awesome PGA championship this weekend!

Fowler is paired up with Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia for Thursday and Friday...should be a fun group to watch!

good post, i too am very excited for the tournament this week.

one awesome thing about golf is the guy that finishes 75th one week can turn it around in 4 days and show up and kick the shit out of everyone.

i am glad that Tiger is back though, love him or hate him there is a different feeling when he is in the group. hopefully he can play better this week and get into contention.

if Fowler plays his own game and doesn't try to drive the ball with Johnson then he will be just fine IMO. it's when the guys try to hit as far as Johnson and Watson that their driving goes downhill...

For sure....love em' or hate em' there's a whole nother level of excitement when Tiger is in the field

Fowler is right there....right there! if he could just get a few of those close putts to drop...he's on the brink of a win. Cool to see a guy like that, with the moto background do good...he brings some much needed color to the game, literally! Johnson has one of the ugliest swings on the tour....imo...but dude can bomb it.

I'm still pulling for my boy John Daly to bust one out...wishful thinking though. He was on the leader board a couple times and finished T9 at the Canadian open...cigarette in hand and all!

A. Scott's swing is as perfect as it gets.... I've always liked S. Williams alright, but his ego is maybe as big as El Tigre's which is where I'm guessing that whole statement came from

There is a way to d'load it, if you want to look through the page code and find the source. But no embed, i figure if they wanted us to embed it, they would of given us the option in the vid menu. Cant really blame them, page hits pay bills, ya know?

Yeah Williams made $140k, i bet no mechanics get that for 4 days work, that is essentially what he is, the left hand man.

Steve Williams is one of New Zealand's highest paid sportsmen, some years he has been number 1,

he races a dirt track car at home, have raced against him a lot and he is a very down to earth guy, he raised over a million dollars for a children's hospital a couple of years ago, and has done a heap of the community in NZ,

Mate, an Aussie and a Kiwi working together. There's only one thing to say: "Where's the first tee and what's the course record?"

Okay, maybe that's two things.
