KTM amateur team 2 years ago. He's been doing it all on his own, with some help from Deft Family and Nate Adams. This year in sx, he rode Nate's sx bike when he decided to focus on fmx. His speed in sx didn't really show in the results column, alot of small crashes

Great ride. He sounded a lot like like Pastrana to me after the race with the huge smile and super enthusiasm when Erin talked to him.

He's been prepping for this race for a while. He lives here at the track, and his brother-in-law is Ryan Huffman who's now running the track.

I know that he rides that track alot but he is racing against the best in the world and still did very good. I hope he gets a great start in the second moto and gets a top five.

If I remember correctly, he is a past LL's champ.

The kid can fly and always has. This was no surprise to me. I was floored when the announcers were shocked, afterall, his number is 55! He didn't earn that number for doing nothing!

You don't go that fast for that long on accident, props to him! I was inspired watching that. Hope he lands a ride

The kid done well, but it's a track that is like his practice track. If he want's to land a ride, he's going to have to attend more races.

His interview after the first moto was better (more interesting and genuine) than 95% of the usual podium interviews we see each weeck.

He was almost scary fast that first moto, good for him to get some exposure and maybe a shot at something (fill in ride somewhere?).

Tommy put in one hell of a ride in today in that first moto! He was in 12th at the top of the downhill section on the first lap , and I watched him pick off one rider after the next until he got into 4th. He was passing guys that have full rides like they were standing still! Barcia and Wilson both got him there on the last few laps.....but Tommy's ride was something to see in person. Down on the back section heading down into the woods....he was railing this hairy section so fast it was scary as hell! That kid has some fucking talent to say the least! sad thing is.....I'll probably watch him at PIR next Thursday night and watch him wipe up on all the locals again. Kid needs to be out doing all the rounds with that kind of speed!

Watching him put those riders behind him was siiick! He's got the talent and more importantly the confidence to do some damage if he gets a ride. Home track or not, he killed it in that first moto! It was exciting to see and he would make a great addition to the series!

His interview was just awesome, he was genuinely SUPER PUMPED to be there. We need more people in the sport like him!

Damn I hope he gets a ride!!!!!

Me too man...me too! It makes me sick watching someone like that having to race local here. Don't get me wrong.....I love watching him race here.....just would like it even more if he was doing all the rounds. The kid has heart!

Every national has a few locals who only make their home race or a few close ones and a few usually make the national.

Hey DC, if you see this post, how about a local award next year for each race. Let the part timers pick their local national and put up a gas card for top finisher. I would bet every race would have a shop, business, or club willing to put up $500 or $1000 to sponsor it for a local, true privateer.

Very cool that Weeck got the TV time, should be a regular part of the interview segment. Lots of top 10 guys have never gotten on camera.

Not quite a Jason McCormick Washougal ride, but a good one none the less.
