Pretty much all classes have future Moto stars in them. Magrath won 125C there and look where it took him!

Every class is important. But most everyone looks at the 250A and 450A classes because there are always a few racers that will make their pro debut shortly after LL.

Geez, for the past several years I thought +40 was the main class.

Myself I find the 65 and 85 to be the most interesting.

MX2B, which local "A" rider is riding the C class at Loretta Lynn's? Please send me any info you have and I will look into it immediately: DC@mxsports.com

I think we do a good job of getting the sand-baggers out of the C classes, but we can always use help policing it.

So people always say there has been sandbagging at LL......name the rider, year and class a non legitimate rider has won a championship and give proof.

MX Sports has worked hard on creating a nation wide advancement system.....and I think it works.

All you can do is field the "Johnny is a pro, Jimmy saw him at Mammoth" complaints with a grain of salt. As everyone knows, most just want to see their kid finish higher without putting in the work.

If you made it to Loretta's, you are fast. It really doesn't matter what class you are in anymore, all of them would just about win (other than 50's and most 60's) your local B classes. Just because a kid f'in rails on a bike doesn't mean he should be riding 2 classes up because your friends are slow.

Is it a case of "my kid would have won today if it wasn't for that other kid that won, dammnit he should be in a higher grade"

Kenny said the riders are mostly older?

Like 7 in the 6 and under?

Or all vets?
You should really plan your next kids birthday a little better so we don't have to hear you whine about it for the next 12 years....

Start banging the wife a lot at the end of next April, maybe you'll get that magic January birth date.

There may not be any "legal" sandbagging, but most C riders at loretta's are as fast as many good local B riders and several are capable of winning A class. Just this past weekend up at sunset ridge in walnut, il, the kid who won C class was just ridiculously faster than anyone else. I would have been embarassed, he should have been in the A class. I don't get how they get satisfaction out of demolishing the C class. National #87 Drew Yenerich was there, and the C rider was quadding a whoop section cleaner than he was. It is very easy to bypass the advancement system.

Right now I'm a mid/front of the pack B rider depending on what track I'm riding at, and as soon as I can get in good enough shape to be able to ride hard all 6 laps, I'm moving myself to A class. I don't care if I'm battling for 10th place out of 11 riders, I'd rather be in A class where I at least have a shot of making my entry fee back.

I agree mx sports is doing a good job, guess it was bad humor, but seems like a loretta lynns A rider is way faster than a local A rider!, same as other classes!

I have the same understanding as MXMatti, Obviously the better the grade, the better the rider, who determines the grading system? What are the age limits per class? etc. You'll have to excuse my ignorance bu AUS doesnt have anything like this really, not on such a high level and prestige as LL's!

Man you are dumber than a box of rocks.

I talk about a rule change and you tell me how to exploit the current rules?

Go help Tony keep the dust down and let those who's kids can run the top pace in the country have our little suggestions to tighten things up in the front.

We do want to know who the real champ is? Not who exploited the rules?

I like your style man.

This is where I am at in racing right now. It's time to move up so I am. A class here I come.

The pro license is earned from results in Pro/Am points races and AMA Arenacross races. There have been instances in the past of riders getting pro licenses after being a Loretta's B or A champion, with factory team backing. But it's not really that hard for a good local A rider to earn the points for a Pro license without ever going to Loretta's.

Would you just shut up already? Unless you change the entire age system that is in the AMA rules then this is what it is. My son turned 7 less that 2 months before Lorettas and he won (he was 6 at the regional). You knew the rules going in. Get over it! Geezzzzz!!

Forget it mom. He can't seem to understand that no matter what date you set for the age cutoff someone will always be a little older. He needs to get used to it since this will always be the case. Maybe he will stop bitching come the schoolboy classes or maybe not. My kid was always the youngest having a December birthday BFD.

Top 20 in "A" class at LL, lets you apply for your Pro License as well.
