Roczen to AMA 2012

I think he'll beat guys like Tomac and Barcia, but Baggett will prove harder. I'd still give Roczen the edge though.

Hopefully after the MXDN we'll know more.

Its pretty simple. Roczen is the youngest, fastest thing to come out of Europe since Tortelli and he is going to win a World Championship this year (or not, doesn't really matter if he does or not, he is still coming to America) and will come to see how he stacks up in the most competitive class in the world (AMA 250 Supercross and Nationals), and if history is right, he will not win a championship (out door)his first year and he wont win a supercross championship (his first year) unless he quits wrecking (remember Musquin, Ratray?). But it will make for good racin'! Can he beat Bagget, Tomac or Barcia? I dont think so.
It's pretty simple you don't know........

DId you mention Chad Reed was washed up?

Sherwood, I was at both races... and I don't recall Roczen going 1-1 and completely dominating both of his moto's against the MX1 and MX3 boys at Lakewood, ala RV at Budds Creek. Nor did he smoke everyone else's fastest laptime by 5 seconds and then 3 seconds in each of his motos, ala RV. Roczen was 3 and 2nd fastest in each of his motos. That's is no where near RV's domination at Budds Creek.A 6-3 doesn't equals a 1-1 in anyone's book. I would think there are plenty of MXGP fans that would have to disagree with your take on this one.

If you're going to hang onto this one, well then good thing we live in America where you can believe your own propaganda, but it doesn't add credibility to your future vitalmx.com "opinions" Wink

Here's a link to the youthstream website for the results of both races, if you need your memory refreshed.

How bout the fact that Ken was racing on foreign soil on a completely unfamiliar track at 6100 ft. elevation against 450's with a bike that wasn't even considered the best of the best ala RV's PC?

Why not bring up those variables...

I think Baggett is faster as far as sheer speed goes, but they both like to wreck also.

I wouldn't say they 'like to wreck'.

Roczen has crashed twice so far this season, one was the result of an unfortunate kick off a roller. Baggett has crashed about the same number of times, if not a few more. Tomac is already half way to matching Roczens total and Barcia can't complete a moto without crashing.

Crashing is inevitable, no matter how good you are, even RC used to crash spectacularly and fairly frequently on a 125. The risk reward factor is what makes the sport so exciting.

The kid just wants to race. Get over the Nationals vs the GP's. Both series are great. I am getting a bit tired of the babies on this forum matching these two series up.

Don't even compare RC to KR... Are you kidding?... RC still won a title every season, he would crash and get up bent up and still win... You have to speculate on the performance of one, but not the other... Believing the BS, equal crap,, is just that, crap...
I can't even start to believe your audacity now... It is, utter BS... Not an opinion...

Laughing Jeez, is it any wonder this place regularly turns into such a joke when people respond to perfectly reasonable, inoffensive post as though their mother has been insulted?

I used Carmichael as an example to demonstrate that crashing is an unfortunate part of the sport but also a common one. RC is the greatest rider that ever lived. I was/still am a massive RC fan and he's always had my vote in the silly RC vs Everts debate. I was not disrespecting him. Grow up man.

'bout as grown as I'm gonna get... Don't hide behind that fallacy... Most of the time... Lets just say, I don't agree with your analysis of your "inoffensive" posts... Your intention and what I read may be differentm, to you... But, you did write it... Ever say something, and latter thought you could have said it better?... That was you, all you... You wrote it... I don't live in your head... I don't know you outside of Vital... I read Vital many times per day, and have, for a long time, several years., as a matter of fact... I used to get involved more when it was called MotoDrive... I got scolded once, and I decided to not participate, as much, it just didn't, really, matter... Kind of like your little narrow minded quirp "grow up"... You need to take your own advice, chump... I don't really care what you think or how you respond... And to me, your opinions, and any other opinion, that is euro colored, is useless... to me...

Yeah I agree. Well he is pretty damn fast in the GPs this year. Most of his races he holeshots and walks away within three laps. He has had a couple of crashes. Should be a top contender in the 2012 Nationals.

With the amount of points he scored on the 350 during SX, I wonder if he'll score enough points to earn #94 for next year. Now that would be sweet for him!

You kind of missed he was aiming his critique towards you, not towards me and no one laughed at your "joke". But you have already shown limitations as in how absorb information, so go figure. But that wasn't enough, on top of that, you are still a bit worked up over that inability even a bit butt-hurt it seems, because you just had drag me in this shit again didn't you?

So for you only, for the last time another version but with the same message in my stance about the GP vs the AMA BS. Try to get it this time, please...

1. I NEWER said the GPs were superior. I in all greed and madness it seems, I asked if it's really necessary for the US fans, race promotors (or who the hell is responsible for the embarrassing AMA broadcast chest pounding these days) if it's not possible to enjoy and be proud over it's series without pissing on the GP series?

Both series have equal value for the sake of the sport. PERSONAL preferences decide what's more important. I can't say to a US fan or rider that the GPs are the most prestigious series because my subjective thoughts of what makes something more appealing to me don't correlate with others. Example: I prefer certain political views, culture climate, and what I can accept in criminality way over salary. Say I can make 4 times more money in Brazil that I can in France, I still would prefer living in France despite some asshats at that figurative Brazilian hospital consider their certain department the most prestigious because they can offer me more money? Will they attract good doctors? Hell yes, the best ones? Not all of course, but some of the bests. Some will not bite because personal preferences makes them to stay in France. Their names could be Dr Cairoli, or Dr Everts etc. In France these doctors are also considered to be among of the bests, the Brazilians of course made them an offer, but they DECLINED. Some even claim which they really cant support with evidence that these riders are the best ever which is both stupid and arrogant because they didn't beat the other best riders in the competing series.

You get?
