i dont know how things go over there behind the scenes, but from the outside looking in, that seems like a team that has its shit together for being a private team or any team for that matter.

im just sitting here watching the whole squad rip it up at pala and im thinking how impressive a program theyve built in a relatively short time. they are one of the younger teams on the grid are they not? maybe less than 5 years old?

and imo, baker/seeley on the 250s and craig on the 450 is a really solid squad.

Troy surrounds himself with loyal workers and family, it's in everyone's best interest to succeed. Troys been around the block a few times, been good friends with Mitch for years, he's learned from the best and has excelled at it too. I like his program and he's very helpful in marketing/branding not just his own company, but if he's into what you do he will back you a 100% and help you brand/market and get the ball rolling as well, hence my brother's The Ranch.

solid and young. I think Tyler is the youngest team manager (23 or 24yrs).
killer work ethic. great team. everyone from the truck driver to Troy is badass on that team.
Root for the Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda team. They get their own funding by working for it too.

Totally agree with Sondy. Sondy and I have know Troy since his early Pro Circuit / Saddleback racing days and he really pushes himself as a person and he expects the same from his workers. He's gives them the tools to excel and let's them do their jobs. He's always looking for that edge to be ahead of the curve on what ever he's doing.

Example... saw Troy at GH last fall on a Thursday riding. He saw me using one of our products and he asked for one to try. He felt his race team mechanics would like them and it would give them an edge over the competition. I've known Troy since 1981 (we were PC / Anaheim Husky riders then) I just gave him one as a friend thinking nothing of it even though he offered to pay for it at full retail. Out of the blue a few weeks later Tyler (team manager TLD Racing) called me and after trying them... and liking them, asked if I would be interested in helping the team and be a product supplier to the mechanics. I told him I have no problem giving him products for the mechanics to support the team, but my marketing budget could not afford a sticker on the bike. Tyler said not to worry and we will make it work for you. Later that week, Troy called me and said thanks for the help and asked what can he do to help promote our product. I gave him a few thoughts but told him not to worry about it since our contribution was so small. To show their support, Troy (and his team) have followed through over and beyond what I expected. Thanks to TLD's help, we've sold a lot of tire gauges to the MX community.

Troy and his company are great people with a clear vision on how to win and be successful. Like Sondy said, he's learned from the best and surrounds himself with loyal workers and family. And I totally agree from experience.

Great people at TLD for sure, from the riders to the crew, to the people at their offices. Can't say enough how awesome they are to work with. They run a fun, yet professional environment.

Also, props to you for not turning this into a spam your product, all the while making an example of how great those guys are, but now you have me curious, what exactly is your product?! It's not spam if someone else asks, right?

Sorry guys,,,, but the TLD team is really great to work with and I didn't mean to turn this into a spam deal. They are a team going places. Please accept my apologies if you thought otherwise.

At the Las Vegas Supercross was my first time really hanging out around the team and watching how they deal with everything, and it's one of the most laid back teams in the pits. They are serious when it comes to race time but they keep it fun for the riders and team which makes a really good environment when it comes to race time. I hope I can race for tld honda someday.

Didn't Troy Lee flip you off in the pits?

After the whole deal with Craig getting hurt, and still keeping him on the team and assuring him a spot whenever he needed it, even though it was unclear if he would ever ride again, I think it's clear how great these guys are.
