I don't understand how they can get it wrong so many times.
Everyone knows the game that initially came out is rather average, everyones kicked that horse. So we're gratefull that they've put out a survey and attempted to patch things up with a rather healthy sized patch (.5gb).
But how can they take direct opinions from the public and still not improve the game, and in some ways make it worse?
The rider gesture removal is probably the only positive to the update, which shouldn't have been in the game in the first place.
As far as i can see, the rider positioning hasn't improved much, the only thing i notice is that the rider doesn't lean to the left of the bike when going over whoops, other than that, it's still wreaks of goon.
What's amazingly retarded with this patch is the gyro that everone has been asking for, and if implemented right, would have been another plus for the patch, but honestly, i think the guys that actually ride in THQ have absolutely no say in how the mechanics work in this game, and are left to a guy that has never seen a bike in his life. The front wheel will raise constantly and quickly no matter what situation or position the bike is in, at any time. When, in this universe, will this happen in real life? Barcia would be doing backflips over every jump if this was the case. It aids in what already is a game that is way to easy to wheely and loop out in any situation on the track. You cannot lean back through the whoops without popping the front wheel to vertical position, it's just about faster in stewarts compound to not lean back at all, and use the gyro to keep the front wheel up.
How did this get implemented, tested, and passed for release? It's a waste of 500mb, and the game isn't better for it. The online problems havn't even been fixed! More often than not i'm entering games with one guy sitting on the line and 7 or so people waiting for it to finish.
The DLC program seems to be a big part of frustration for the game, and if it performed like it should, it wouldn't be a problem. But when you have this big idea of a game being heavily dependant on having DLC to be a main part of the game, it needs to work flawlessly! Having DLC bikes available only in the U.S should be a slappable offence, this kind of stuff should have been sorted before the games release, you know, when THQ advertised that all this would be available to everyone.
Everyone is aware of how the release of the tracks has gone less than smooth, most of us still can't download the new tracks, it's another horse that doesn't need to be beaten anymore, it's just astounding that THQ continue to do what seems to be half a job and attempt to spew it out for our hard earned dosh. The words they speak never resemble the product they sell. Why does this happen, who is in charge that orchestrates these atrocities?
Before people say "it's only a game", it's my money spent on these guy's "professionalism", if it was open source or free, than it's another story, but these guys do it for a living, broadcast how the next release will be and how the shambles have definately been fixed, only to suck us in for another release.
So because of this failure, i now have to load my real bike up and go riding, urgh.

It is very apparent that they have tried to rip us blind.
They have not put in the time on this game.
The game has been rushed out the door. They said so we get it quicker. But the real reason is so they can have a smaller wage's bill and make more money out of the game.
Older MX games had so many more features like Ghost racing, SX tracks, Hill climb, supermoto, championships, Cheats to unlock everything remember the "too lazy" cheat. Now we have to pay for the privlidge.

He is the lead designer of Digital Studios Phoenix and surely has enough to pull to make the right changes for a truer to life game?
They love to talk how many in the design department ride and are fans of the sport, yet they give us hand gestures that even a gnarkill bro would find ridiculous, stiff rider animations that even a do it yourself game (mxsim) has done a lot better, taken away gyro which is the most of basic things to begin to create realism, give us NO SX tracks and not get the online racing to how other games are even after saying it's a 100% on reflex!
I know the complaints are getting old but maybe between us constantly pointing out the flaws and a bit of competition (Blackbean) the Mx vs ATV games will improve and make bigger steps forward!
