BTW, I saw Henry and Keith Morris playing live with Black Flag a couple of years ago. Keith did the first set and Henry performed in the second set. One of the best punk rock shows of all time.

Mostly conservative hicks...
If you believe that all the science we have 'settled' is perfect, then there's no need for any more, is there? Likewise, if you believe that every passage of the bible (or Koran or ....) happened precisely as it was described, you should have no need to avail yourself of anything science has provided that contradicts anything written in your book, which might be most every modern convenience you enjoy.
Bottom line: anyone claiming to be satisfied that they have a grasp of all things, regardless of where they anchor their 'faith', is as arrogant a dumbass as there is. Either way.
The only thing we have in common is the vastness of our ignorance, both scientifically and whatever you want to call the other end of the argument.
It's impossible to deny the possibility - no matter how slim it might be - of a deity if you can admit the imperfection of your knowledge. If you can't admit that your knowledge is less than perfect, then you must be God. Are you?
OH SHI
Of course, this is where the fundamentalist religious train jumps the tracks. Mere mortals that claim to know exactly what God knows. i.e. everything. Same thing happens on the opposite edge, too.
thanks god.
