Motard Impression.com, Wednesday, May 14, 2008
Exclusive Motard Printing! Pierrick Paget, our editor, went to meet Christophe Pourcel in Belgium and we book the story of a magical day:
The alarm rings, it is 4 o'clock in the morning. I take the wheel and 620 km later, I come to Loncin in Belgium. I returned in a workshop full of motorcycle GP. Only in the middle of all, a machine throne timidly without plate number, hit kit Deco Monster Pro Circuit and equipped with all parts of the sorcerer Californian.
So true, the patriarch had not lied. After 9 months of waiting, rehabilitation, pain, doubts, training and struggle to resume a normal life, the absolute number 1 french will be this afternoon behind a handlebar ...
The day passes, it happens to 16h, and unlike the last 2 years, he is smiling, open, it discusses and joking with everyone. I feel that I review the kid 2005 for her first national title!
If it is relaxed as possible, this is not the case with his father, very moved, and j'angoisse already the idea of having to capture the moment! He puts on his equipment, calmly, it is difficult to recognize in this whole Thor it will yet so far! He advances to the KX-F, down from the tripod and spent his left leg over the saddle.
It goes back the sleeves of his jersey. Now that's for sure, this is it: the Champion of France, MX2 World Champion, winner of a U.S. SX: Christophe Pourcel!
2 laps later, the Mass is said. I know now what will be done 2009. He also…

Pretty gnarly injury
He might not ever win another moto race, but it sounds like he's intent on proving himself a Champion either way.
Good luck to him and hope he gets all his speed back. I wonder if he still will have a ride on PC at some point.
My gut instinct tells me he'll be back swinging and as fast as ever!
The injury ere a broken pelvis and hip dislocated I think. Though he's main issue was that some nerves got pinched and he lost some sensation in his leg and bladder... He has gonna through a lot of pain in bed at hospital and at sport facility. He lost a lot of weight and muscle which he needs to get back. In his last interview he said he was going to wait till he was really fit before getting on the bike.
Christophe is a winner if he comes back racing it's to win not just play second role!
I say watch out for him coming out for the last few outdoors...
A guy that shows so much commitment to get back on the bike, wouldn´t be doing it just for "fun"...
It seems like PC is still supporting him and I sure that he will not give up... Cris Pourcel is one of those gifted guys and he is still young... he just needs some time...
