I honestly kind of dig it. Might get old over a season, but it felt kind of like watching a race in person.

Maybe it's not a bad concept. All 4 motos just raw footage then go to the TV for the complete broadcasts. Only real fans are going to watch the raw online stuff anyway so I can't see how it could affect selling TV rights.

It was kind of nice just listening to the bikes.

If it was a mistake, it was a good one. And if it was intentional, it was genius. I loved it, and could have done without the occasional blare of music, too. Just the bike and crowd sounds from camera to camera.

When we first got HD channels a few years ago OneHD a free channel here would show live NASCAR for a few hrs on a Weekend. The commentators would often just be silent so you could hear the cars for extended periods of time. With the new HD thing at the time it's stuck in my head.

Anyways after the unintentional mistake in the webcast and then watching the speed broadcast I really think weege and fro should try it. They do a great job but some extended silence from them with a slight volume raise of the track noise would do wonders. As a viewer you could focus more on what's happening without the constant interruption.
