I thought of you guys the minute this beast rolled by me on the way to the gate. I liked it so much I stole one for my web page (about half way down the front page). Oh sure, I could have posted it here like the others, but I also thought it was a good way to put the squeeze on you guys for a couple of "page views". Go here first, http://raceguysroom.blogspot.com then you can look at the rest back here.

I should point out that I got so wound up about shooting the bike I kept cutting off various parts of Scott Josey's body - mostly his head. Sorry, Scott.

That bike looks pretty trick, is it a "Six Days" version or something?

btw: ever thought of downsizing the header pic on your webpage? Cool

Thanks for lookin' Scottie. The site is a canned Blogger template. If I reduce the photo too much it justifies it over to the right hand side of the page. It's a work in progress. Only been up a week and I'm still playing with it. With all that huge advertising revenue rolling in, maybe I can get my own domain and pics that fit. Thanks again.

As for the Gas Gas, it's dripping with trickness. I thought KTM did a killer job with their tribute bike, but this billet and carbon-fiber beauty puts it to shame. Amazing bike for the Vets classes. Maybe it's owner will give us some more details. I'll guarantee he's lurkin'.

Amazing Bikes. I used to have a GASGAS 125 (back when they had TM Engines) - best bike I've ever ridden.

They make two special edition bikes at the moment (as well as '6 day versions of all their models, including a 125 2 stroke, and electric start 2-strokes as well) - an EC 250 Iván Cervantes REPLICA:

and an EC 300 Christophe Nambotin REPLICA:

The silencer is FMF. Has to meet the very quiet world "enduro" spec. Don't remember the DB.

I think it is 112db at full throttle, 2m away from the bike. World MX is 115....

So I guess it would be around 91db under the old system? Maybe lower?

Thanks for the compliments on the new hardware folks. It's a 2011 GasGas EC250 Sixdays. Stone stock with the exeption of the P3 carbon pipe guard. That just happened to be in-stock when I picked up the bike. The whole idea behind GasGas is that they are ready to race out of the box. I will add some hand guards for the woods and we'll be ready for some hair scrambles. Don't worry about the pics sans head Raceguy, the bike is way prettier than I am. Hell it's even sexy with blinkers!

I just moved up from a 2005 gasgas mc 125. I pounded that bike on the track and in the woods for five years. Reliable as a stone and did everything well. Altough I am liking the new found power of the 250.

I had to cut mine out of red flocked (textured) MacTac. It was all I could find at the hardware store in a small town on the way to the races. Felt kinda like velvet...real pimp.

I think he was just trying to keep his white boots clean. This can really slow you down on the track.

I keep trying to sleep, but all I can hear in my mind is that 150 railing a biiiigggg sweeper full throttle.

Should I seek professional help? (or just buy a damned Husky).

Funny, I've been hearing the same thing for the last few minutes as I drooled on my keyboard. The Husky is a sexy sonuvagun!

The Husky is such a peach to look at I keep being tempted BUT it doesn't come close to my TM144 in the 'go' stakes I'm afraid. ( not sure the build quality is close either).....

She had a 2008 Husqvarna 125 before this one. That bike was a rocket. She said her arms are going through an adjustment period with the new 150. I feel her pain as i adjust to the 250 Gasser. I just moved up from a 125 aswell.
I should mention that the build quality on the 11 husky is far improved over the 08 framed bike. The suspension is really nice too. KYB forks and shachs shock. I have been riding Ohlins shocked bikes for my last 3 bikes and the shachs unit is pretty comparible.

picked up my six days 300 last week and finally got to take it for a ride this weekend. it turns like nothing else and has an amazing motor!

the silencer is actually a 90 dcb spark arrestor, and the kickstand is a little odd. it is an auto retractable and its a shin killer!! just ask any gasgas owner and they will show you some scars!! lol[/img]

Might as well keep up a little momentum. Noticed this thread got resurrected and I just happen to have grabbed a little more this weekend.

For example, here's Gasrider's championchick daughter. Appropriate we only see her back and the bike taking off into the distance. That's usually all her competition sees too.

There were more!

There were actually two of these.

...and Gasrider added a little more eye-candy to his pit area.

Skinny!!

Skinny and very trick.

Thanks for enjoying this stuff, guys. Also, thanks to Scott for bringing the camera-bait.

And I'm pretty sure 20 teenagers tried out the trials bike. I think Husky is going to make some big inroads in the coming months and few years.

Be very careful tilting your bike over while looking around the lower parts. Those self retracting kickstands also have a reputation for removing teeth and making lips fat! Don't ask how I know this Wink .

How do you like the Zokes? I have the Sachs and I would say they are a vast improvement over the Zokes that I had on my 05.

they say that there is a ten dollar fix for the autoretract kickstand, iv got one ordered before i lose any teeth!! lol

i actually like them a lot. they started out a little stiff in the top and mid stroke but after an hour and a half or so they broke in really nice and softened up. before the end of the ride though i rode Richards bike of house of horsepower and his Zokes were much more plush in the top stroke with more bottoming resistance. apparently the gold valve is a good set up for these, im taking mine this week for a revalve and proper springs.
