Cianciarulo makes more than 95% of U.S. Residents.

Globally he might even move up another percentage point.

So comparing his income to those in this little group is not much of an insult.

I like AC92. races the older kids and is clearly the prodigal son of US mx.

But it,s his luck in the lorretta park spot lottery that is suspect.

Nah just kidding. It ain't luck.

Dc just gives him the spot. He doesn't have to put his name in no hat!

Knowitall, sorry, Pro Circuit let him park in their spot, since he's their rider. I have nothing to do with where some mini cycle rider parks among 1,000 other participants at the ranch.

AC is not a amateur. Not even close just like Loretta's is not a amateur race.

It will be interesting t see who the next big amateur is. As the Economy gets worse and parents can't put 3 mortgages on there houses anymore to go race the sport seems to be dying at the local level. Go back 4 or 5 yrs and the big guns were,Canard,Stroupe and Izzi. Since then there has only been one rider a year to emerge from the Amateur National level to big time. When AC moves up it might be the end of the line for high profile Armature racers from the US moving up to the big time.

Being from Orlando you should be aware that you have an extremely talented kid there in the amateur ranks

I have seen Jordan Bailey ride.

My point is the risk vs reward that parents use to take are very rare. There use to be 4-6 up and comers but right now there is only AC.

Its pretty amazing where the sport is today vs 4-5 yrs ago.

Here again, the focus goes straight to the top guys in the sport. With the USGP arguements and why no one should ride, what happens to everyone who didn't land the factory ride? It looks like there are several guys who are racing the USGP and I'm hoping they'll get a little notice and recognition from it. There are a lot of "next big things" that seem to fall off the radar about the time they turn pro.

I would consider Cooper Webb, another up and comer.

You really have no idea what your talking about, these kids are amatuers (and Adam is still on a Supermini) Riders progress when they get on big bikes. Just because a rider doesnt get all the "hype" doesnt mean they won't become a great Pro rider. Just watch and see after Lorettas this year.... you will be surprised of the talent "coming up".
I will agree there are less riders , but the economy has hit many hard. Its no more (like many years ago) where pure talent gets you somewhere. Theres so much money in AM racing its crazy!

The main word in your scribble is "prob."

This has been a problem since the start of this sport though. Yes it's affected by the increase in costs to run a 4-stroke, but certainly not the only factor. The kids who are fast but don't want it enough to make it a career FAR out weight those that do.

Yep, look at tickle, as an amateur he was never hyped as the next best "thing". When he got on big bikes, he became a different rider and his hard work paid off. Adam could be the next mike alessi for all we know?

Pretty sure Baggett, Barcia, and Wilson were all in the same class weren't they? They were all pretty hyped and have all done well so far. There's more than people think. Way more actually. Look at Dungey... never even talked about till Suzuki signed him from the B ranks. Look where he is now.
5/15/2011 2:43pm
barcia came from B ranks as well... tho everyone knew this would happen.
why can these kids turn pro before 18 again? was there a reason?
you cant even go straight to NBA when your 18 anymore. must have 1 year of college. but yet these young riders can turn pro before even getting a highschool diploma. sad.

Sure seems that way. Half the kooks on this board can't even get the pro shit right.

LL is an awesome race that puts you on the map, but its not the end-all decision if you will make it.
