Honda probably isn't happy about how it turned out, but Eli made mistakes and Cole rode good. Simple as that. Cunningham also made some pretty close passes on Tomac but nothing was mentioned about those, either.

Seely already has re-signed with Troy Lee for next year, so he'll be on the same team/bike, unless TLD switches brands. I don't see that happening though.

Seely and Tomac are not teammates because they ride Hondas. Who do you think Honda would rather win a race Team GEICO or Team TLD? One is the good child while the other one is the wild child with better looking bikes. =)

Watch it on tape, it's all there

With 3 laps to go Seely looked back and saw Tomac, just before heading into the back section.
Seeley blocked the inside line all the way around the sweeper and ran Tomac wide (allowing Cunningham to get by) before heading back into the stadium. After the ski jump Seeley looks back and sees Cunningham. Seeley lets Cunningham by and the rest is history.

I know these two haven't gotten along in the past, but if your not in the championship hunt and you're slowing up those who are...get the fuck out of the way.

Sorry man, I didn't listen to RC as I was watching the race live in the stadium with my own eyes and no "play by play". I thought Seely and Cunningham rode good and hard. If people seriously want them to pull over because someone else is in a title hunt then that is not real racing in my book. Seely was way out front and went down clipping his front wheel on a triple before the finish, that is the only reason Tomac got near him. I thought Tomac rode good but not good enough to win a championship that night. He made a few mistakes that let Broc past him and also just didn't have that fire that he needed to get by other riders quick. I like Tomac and think it would have been awesome for him to win the championship but he didn't have it in him last weekend, that's it.
I feel like a lot of the people whining are probably those that have a boner for Honda for whatever reason.

Wadded_Up, thanks for calling me an mx god but the reality is just that I have common sense and know that when you line up on a gate that you should expect everyone on the gate to race for position.

they dont care whos riding it or what team. No Seely isnt on Tomac' team, but he is on a Honda, so he should have got out of the way...the TLD guys were the only "teammates" Tomac had out there. Tickle on the other hand had 2 Monster guys, a yamaha guy, and looks to me like he stole one of Tomac's "teammates"

Thats fine if Cunningham wants to try to help Tickle, HES NOT ON A HONDA!

I don't agree with the statement that riders should get out of the way, but when riders ride one opponent harder than the other, it gets a little concerning. Yes, Honda would love to have another Honda on top and yes, there's no doubt words spoken to Cole, but you have to remember he's fairly new to the whole "top notch" racing procedure too.

As fans, none of us can do anything about the fact. Debating whether or not Cole or Kyle did the right thing is pointless at this point in time. Broc won the title and deserved to. Eli rode his best and came out in an amazing position for having never ridden supercross previous to this season.

Let's switch our focus to outdoors, shall we?

Man what a totally bullshit move from Seely. Once Tomac and Tickle were both past, he just gave up and stopped charging. Lost a lot of respect for Seely. But like a couple of you have said, Tomac and Roczen's future looks a lot brighter than anyone else in that class. Keep charging Tomac, hes going to kill it outdoors.

Hell yes, Cunningham and Seely should have raced hard against both Tomac and Tickle.
If Seely moved over for Tomac everybody would have been screaming "team tactics" but since he rode hard, everybody is screaming "team tactics."
Tomac would have been a champ if he did what champs do- lay waste to the competition and pull away from everybody.
Tickle manned up on the triple in the dust and that's what got him his (deserved) Lites class championship.
Tomac is a rookie anyhow- look at how many champs came so close early in their career, only to come back stronger, like Dungey after he got smoked by Lawrence back in 2008 or whenever it was.

I saw four guys racing hard, and depending on who it was, they were either going for a win, going for a title, or going for a personal best for the season.

Remember that Cole did let Eli go by at one point...and then Eli doubled the triple and Cole went back by him.

Sorry, I don't agree. Two guys were in it going for the Championship. Seely had blocked ans messed up Tomac so much at that point, he tried a desperation move to the inside of Seely knowing he woouldn't be able to do the triple. but obviously hoping Seely would fuck off or get the message, but he didn't. Seely never "let Eli by". He played the douchbag card to the bitter end and fucked Tomac and Honda out of a Championship to help his buddies.
There's NO OTHER POSSIBLE WAY TO SEE IT.

People seem to be reacting like Seeley somehow ruined a 20 point lead that Tomac had and took away a "sure thing" championship. I was rooting for Eli to win the title but it didn't happen. It's racing. If he did win it he would be forced out of 250 SX and thrown to the wolves in the 450 class in 2013 with only two seasons of SX experience.

I have one strange observation about his debate. The reader comments over at Racer X's recent online interview with Seeley make the Vital crowd seem like reasonable and compassionate people.

I totally agree.......maybe Seely forgot who's name was at the top of that bonus check he got for winning LA. You guys who think that Honda sees this as no big deal are a bunch of clowns. Like someone else said, they once parked JMB's bike because of his attitude towards Stantons title run.
