BT 101 2008 MX Champ???

I forgot about Hill when I thought about the top 5...he's in there. Also Tedesco will be in the top 10.

Coupla injuries is all some long time top tenners can hope for if they plan to crack that group.

15th overall is gonna be a good ride for anyone non factory.

And they say the outdoors is dead?

Na... Alessi doesn't have the skills yet to be running up front with those guys. Alessi will probably get top 10 in the championship though.

Not an Alessi fan but you have to give him more credit than that.

Count on Dowd in that top 10 at the "wick and Unadillla.

Those spots are gonna be tough to get.

Don't you guys remember the '05 MXdN in Europe BT was the only guy that could keep RC in sight, sure it wasn't for the whole moto but he was with him for twenty minutes. And that was 3 years ago. I think it will be a very long season and hopefully no one will get too hurt. But i'm rooting for BT101 for the title. I think 'dilla and the Wick will be very tough mentally with James and his knee. MA, won't have much i think but we'll no more in a couple of months.........

He finished 2nd last year...

And concerning that top 5, Bubba will not be 2nd. He'll either win it or crash out of the series.

True. BT has a shot at being close. Too bad RV didn't move up this year.

Townley is a winner, and has good experience on 450s. He has to be considered a favorite for some wins, at the least.

Yes he has the speed to do it but it would take a miracal of medicine right now.

James does crash a lot, but he usually gets right back up. For some reason people seem to forget that James' last two injuries were not caused by crashes.

Also true, but both of those injuries could be considered bad luck and not James' fault at all. First injury caused by a rock and the the second supposedly due to a flat tire.

I have seen a healthy Townly ride a Honda 450 and I know how hard he works. I am not saying James is slow, what I am saying is that a HEALTHY townley runs with James.

Townley is absolutly no slouch on a 450. I think alot of eyes will be opened.

The reason James crashed so much was because he lacked the physical conditioning to run RC's pace. IMO he was faster but not in shape. Smartest thing James did was to hire Aldon Baker.

I am not much of an Alessi fan, but he proved himself last season and he will be in title contention at the end of the year...

Townley
millsaps
allessi
short
hill/hepler
tedesco

If 14 or 22 decide to actually ride, throw them both behind townley. Hill and Tedesco could suprise.

Few comments;

BT was the only rider that could hang with RV last year, and besides Stewart, RV and BT were putting down faster lap times than Langston (champ). Now put Ben on the big bike, and take the RV teammate pressure out what do you think will happen? Ben rode smooth unlike RV, which suits the big bikes, AND he rode on in Europe before he ever came here.

BT will be battling Stewart all year long. I REALLLLLLLY hope they both stay healthy, if they do it will be a good show. No one else can hang with those guys.

I don't understand the logic in the if he had faster lap times on a 250f imagine how fast he will be on a 450. A 250f is much easier to ride and can be ridden harder.

Lets make a tripple post because the quote system sucks I'm sorry but it really does. People forget just how fast James really is.

Whoever stays fit out of BT and JS will win the title. If Stewart makes it to the opener and they both stay fit it's gonna be one hell of a battle and I'd say it's 50/50. If Townley can push RV all the way in the form that RV was in last year then I think he is capable of pushing Stewart all the way.

If they both crash out (quite possible in my opinion) then I'd go for Langston again.

Does anyone one else think that Ben Townley could pull the championship against Stewart this year? He's got the skills and the bike to do it. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the championship race will end like this.

1. Ben Townley
2. James Stewart
3. Davi Millsaps
4. Andrew Short
5. Broc Hepler
Langston has a broken collerbone.

If Stewart can't stay healthy, Alessi will win the championship.
