Features
• New Engine Management System (EMS)
• Two engine maps, selectable via handlebar-mounted switch: standard for linear predictable power, or aggressive for improved throttle response and sharper explosive power output
• New Rollover Sensor (ROS) for EMS cuts ignition and shuts off engine in the event of a severe crash
• Traction Control analyzes throttle input from rider and engine RPMs; EMS reduces power to rear wheel when loss of grip is sensed
• New Quickshift function, with sensor on shift drum, is activated by QS button on map switch and allows upshifting without use of clutch while throttle is fully open
• Launch Control: engaged by pressing Traction Control and Quickshift buttons simultaneously; deactivates automatically after gear change
• New larger exhaust valves, 81 mm cylinder bore with forged bridged-box-type CP piston, redesigned cylinder head, and redesigned camshaft
• New redesigned shift shaft reduced forces required for gear changes
• New refined frame with optimized wall thicknesses and new shock/skid-plate brackets and redesigned frame protectors
• New two-piece subframe, swingarm, CNC-machined triple clamps, and 22 mm rear axle
• New polythene fuel tank with new fuel pump design and position
• New hour meter with integrated fuel level indicator and status LED
Miscellaneous
• Airbox: tool-free access to Twin Air filter from left side panel; includes second cover for sharper throttle response
• Engine type: single-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC, finger followers with Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coating, 32.5 mm titanium intake valves, 27.5 mm titanium exhaust valves, high-strength aluminum cylinder and piston, high-pressure die-cast crankcase
• Exhaust: single, flow-designed resonance chamber integrated into header pipe
• Frame: central double-cradle-type 25CrMo4 steel, two-piece polyamide/aluminum subframe, hollow die-cast aluminum swingarm
• Grips: ODI, lock-on
• Handlebar: ProTaper
• Handlebar mount: two mounting options — rubber damped for less vibration or fixed for enhanced feedback; CNC-machined triple clamps
• Radiator: high-strength aluminum
• Wheels: D.I.D., CNC machined hubs
• Includes air pump for fork
