Features
• New frame specially tuned for turning response: 70% of the frame components are new for improved performance and to work with the new suspension
• 20% lighter subframe that uses extruded rear members
• New subframe mounting point optimizes lateral rigidity and reduces energy transmission from the rear of the bike to the front
• New fork springs, new seals and new valving improve the consistency of the stroke feel throughout the entire range of travel
• New shock spring, reservoir, shaft and oil seal contribute to a consistent stroke feel to match the fork updates
• New one-piece rear suspension linkage to enhance rigidity, improve tracking and stability performance; new leverage ratio decreases pitching while improving bottoming resistance
• New top and bottom triple clamps work with the new frame, revised fork, new front axle, and new steering stem for a more consistent suspension feel throughout the stroke
• Higher-volume airbox and air cleaner with 78% more capacity than previous generation; straighter pathway for airflow, improving throttle control and top-end power
• Higher-capacity radiator with 6% more area
• Revised cam profiles to help the engine produce better bottom end torque and power
• Increased crank rigidity enhances midrange torque
• Two lead tracks on shift drum (compared to three previously) improves the shift feel between second and third gears
• Revised muffler and header pipe design is straighter and smoother, improving acceleration
• Lighter/stronger titanium fuel tank
• New front brake caliper and piston seals give you more linear performance with less lever play
• Lower seat and narrower bodywork makes it easier to move around on the bike
• Shared engine/gearbox lubrication to shave weight and make the engine more compact
• Engine mode select feature with simple handlebar-mounted button; riders can choose between Standard, Smooth and Aggressive modes
• Gear-Position Engine Mapping: ECU with special engine mapping for each gear, for optimal power for each gear choice
• HRC Launch Control special ECU program: push the button to select the mode, hold the throttle open, release the clutch, and the CRF250R will do the rest, launching you into the first turn with a big advantage
Miscellaneous
• Cooling: liquid
• Engine: single cylinder, 4-stroke, bridged-box piston, DOHC (Dual OverHead Cams), four valves per cylinder, titanium 33 mm intake and 26 mm exhaust valves, ovalized valve springs, doubled intake springs, finger-follower rocker design with long-wearing Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) treatment
• Exhaust: single-pipe stainless steel header, single pressed-alloy design muffler
• Rims: D.I.D
