In Progress: Hammerhead Designs Throttle Tube

We recently took delivery of a Hammerhead Designs Throttle Tube and will be testing this cool piece of hardware over the next several weeks.

The first thing that stands out with Hammerhead's Throttle tube is the threaded design. Rather than the typical diamond-style knurled pattern, the threaded billet aluminum will automatically tighten the grip inwards if it twists on the tube.

Hammerhead makes these in a few different colors for all five of the major OEMs. We got the blue one for our 2014 Yamaha YZ450F but they're also available in gold for the YZ four-strokes.

There are three separate safety wire grooves spaced evenly on the tube.

For any of the off-road riders out there, the end cap is removable to allow for bark busters.
