TX/XC 300 shock Valving

Anyone have any suggestions to improve the stock shock for offroad? 
Curious if shuffling a few shims would help. I don’t mind the shock at all in the woods but am servicing mine tonight and thought I’d see if some simple changes help. Maybe improve action in roots and rocks. Running an MXT Tank res on the shock.
