Hello, my son races a 26 YZ250f. This week we had an issue where the bike would crank but not start. This happened at Saturday practice so I had all day Saturday and Sunday to check and try everything I could think of. What I ended realizing was when the bike wouldn't start, it also wouldn't communicate with the app. It wouldn't put out a wifi signal. I noticed after cranking it a ton if the app would pop up then the bike would run. I ended up basically keeping the ECU "awake" by hitting the start button once every minute or so. As long as I didn't let the bike "sleep" it would start every time. Now Monday morning and the bike started right up but when I press the map switch on the bars it doesn't light indication that it switched maps. Any ideas?

The stay ignition coil could be going out there us also a diode in the the harness
Try holding down the kill switch for 10 seconds then start... works for my bike.
I would replace kill switch assembly. They get corroded over time from washing.
Agreed. I have since found that the bike will not run unless it's unplugged and dies once plugged back in. The fact that the part is on backorder is telling also. I was going to verify a definitive fix and then post it but I think you're right. Thanks!
