Racebox mini s mounting

For Christmas, I got my wife a RaceBox Mini S and I’m looking at a few mounting options.

Right now, I’m leaning toward a GoPro-style mount on the front fender. The idea is to use an extension arm (like the one pictured) and mount the RaceBox with a ¼" bolt and rubber washers for vibration isolation. I’m also considering adding a small 3M strip or secondary support so the bolt isn’t taking all the load, since I’ve heard they can be prone to breaking when mounted that way.

Ideally, I’m looking for a longer version of the extension shown, about 3 inches, with slots facing different directions. I haven’t been able to find one. If anyone knows where to buy something like this, let me know.

Has anyone tried a setup like this or have feedback on how well it holds up?

I can’t believe no one 3D prints a fork tube mount like one for a transponder for these

I thought about rigging something up like that at first, too. After reading online, I decided against it, though. Supposedly if it is mounted vertically, instead of horizontally, it won't read as accurate. Who knows.

Yeah they need to be mounted flat. I mounted mine to my helmet with the velcro it comes with. I've had a pretty bad hit before and it came off so I feel that its a good spot for it.

I Velcro mine to the top triple clamp under my bar pad, and Velcro a rechargeable 9v to the back of my front number plate

The Micro is way smaller the the Mini is. It won't fit there.

Ah for some reason I was thinking mine was the mini and also didn’t see the pic of the actual mini

I just saw this and for half a second thought, that would be an awesome place. Almost immediately realized there's mo way the mini s would fit.

Has anyone cut out there bar pad?

I thought about this spot, too. I found two problems with it. First, we both have chin mount gopro's, so I don't really want to add more weight to the helmet. Second, knowing my wife, she wouldn't be able to tell if it went flying off her helmet. I think she will only notice it coming off, if it came off in front her face. Hence why im trying to find the "best" mounting for the front fender.

I like everyone's input so far.

I’m looking at this or a 3d print file equivalent for my multiple bikes. I’ve had mine mounted on my helmet for over a year but the start gate guy at Millville told me I couldn’t have it there for my race. That was the only time I had a problem.

So I can make that pretty easily, but those magnets aren't strong enough to hold that thing in for moto. You really need the velcro or the mounting screw to lock it in.

I drilled a hole in my front fender that I could just put the screw into the bottom of the racebox.  For a while I used the velcro and it stuck with bad terrain and bug jumps.
