I picked up a very neglected '05 RM125 with the intent of bringing it back to it's former glory and racing it occasionally in the local series. I'm 99% finished with it but in an attempt to replace the very shot bearings in the "rear cushion" or lower link I've used heat, a dremel and a 6 ton press to no avail. The PC-link on Motosport is the only aftermarket non-lowering link (backordered till 2030) and the OEM is backordered for months.
I'm a local B and 6'2" so I'm trying to avoid a lowering link anyway possible.
I have a drill press and shop experience from college - has anyone had success fab'ing their own parts?
Thanks in advance.
Post some pictures of your problem and maybe we can help. I've done all kinds of tricks to remove stubborn linkage bearings and I'm sure there's a number of guys on here who can say the same thing. Let us see what you got.
