I had a ring break on a Vertex piston in a RM125. Had maybe 2hrs on it since a rebuild. Premium, non ethanol, fuel mixed 32:1 Maxima 927. I’ve never had a ring break ever. Anyone ever see this issue? I did get the piston kit off eBay. New kit but are they counterfeit sometimes coming from fly by night vendors on there?
Did you gap the rings?
