1975 Honda CR125 frame modification, HELP

Guys,

I am trying to determine if this frame modification was an FMF or other group of the period modification.  Or if it was someone just making changes to the frame.  Any help with understand who might of made this modification would be good.  I have tied to find photos of FMF and other modifications of the period with no luck.

Saw the identical kit on a bike that was out of Louisiana. Was sold as “possible PK team bike”, but was later confirmed to be an early DG team bike. That’s all I got!

This is a DG Laydown kit that you could buy. I know this for a fact because I have a NOS set in the pack. This is not saying your bike is not a DG bike, hopefully it is.

Guys,

 

This is good information, it seems that my hunch was correct in that this was not some backyard modification.  Did the kit come with the swingarm mods as well?  This is the only modification to the frame and appears to have been done well.

My kit is just the brackets and gussets which need to be welded on.

Yes i did get this from his parts.  Not sure what my strategy is at this point for it.
