I am going to be in the market for a new/newer HD truck in the near future. I was wondering what trucks you guys have had and what kind of luck you have personally had with them. I am considering all three major brands and have not ruled out gasoline or diesel. Appreciate any input.
I made a thread about this a little while back, maybe this will answer some of the questions you have. I'm still in the market as well, but at this point I'm going to wait it out and see where the market goes.
Pricing is beyond out of touch with reality and I wouldn't be surprised to see 30% off msrp here in the next 6 months, if not sooner. Maybe less on the HD's, but the manufacturers/dealers have shot themselves in the foot spec'ing out far more diesel trucks than gasser's, especially given the fuel issues creeping up on us.

We use the new Ford Super Duties for chasing in Baja. They’re amazing. Even the gas powered Tremors…they sound and run awesome.
I’ve had a few current gen super duty and prefer ford interiors and controls. Never had a major problem with the gassers and diesels, 10 speeds etc.
I’m sure someone can say the same exact thing for each brand.
