With the emphasis Feld has put on making tracks "safer" the past couple years how ironic is it that in two of the past three years the prohibitive favorite suffered a season ending injury without crashing?
Tomac with the achillies in 23 and Jett just dabbing going into a corner on a track that was considered possibly too gnarly.
Unfortunately neither event had really anything to do with track design - shit luck…
That's my point.
IMO…Safer=faster…so the top riders will always push the limit and once in a while…it will bite.
These tracks have been very good from a spectator standpoint IMO. Last year everything was single-line’d
