With so much emphasis being placed on the start can we please get a consistent POV for the gate drop? I didn't pay to much attention to it this weekend but over the years it has annoyed me. There is a great overhead shot of the gate, even on screen graphics highlighting the key players. A quick view of the 30 second card, the revs come up then it seems like rapid fire of 3-4 camera angles before the holeshot line. In all that, its pretty damn hard to know what happen in the start. Keep the overhead shot on so we can at least have a chance on tracking riders through the first turn instead of waiting for the leaderboard to populate after the first section.

OK rant over

I agree. I've wondered why they can't get a good consistent angle for this. The drone from the top seems the best.

Also, I think it'd be great, if they have an overlay Infront of each gate, with the guys number/name, and just go from one side to the other. This can be before the gate drop, but it would be easy to tell who's lined up where. Half the time I'm guessing who's where.

That's what im talking about.  Tell us over and over again how important a start is and then put us at ground level so we cant see shit! I could see that maybe they are trying to capture how intense that first few feet are, but at that angle we get to see one bike/wheel in the screen.  Get some real good shots of that and use it in a highlight/promo video but come on man i wanna see where the elbows were thrown and how some one got "buried in the pack".

I've said this a million times (ok...at least a dozen)...every rider on track should have a gopro or similar on board.  It is by far the most exciting view of the action.  I guess there's some sort of legal hurdles but its probably more to do with money...and who gets it.
