I couldn't stand it any longer. Had to have a 2T. Found this 2009 KTM 150 SX for sale locally. Needed some work, but overall it was in good condition. Has a new top end , including cylinder. New brake pads and master cylinder. New clutch master cylinder. Replaced plastic, grips and graphics. Got my old number and made it personal for me. New chain, front and rear sprockets. EVO Industries Suspension and new twin air filter.Fresh race gas and oil change with gasket too. Ripped some laps on the backyard track yesterday evening. I love this thing!! Keeping my YZ250F, but im sure this will get most of my ride time.

That is a great bike! Those PDS era engines where fast due to straight intake tract design allowed by the shock placement.

Check out if there's any side to side movement in the swing arm pivot and add shims if there' s any slack. It's quite common problem with these bikes. It's also good idea to add shims to motor mounts if there's any gap between frame and cases when the mounting bolts are loosened. You wild find out that the vibrations are greatly reduced after shimming and torquing the mounting bolts according to factory specs

Thanks for the tip! i havent noticed any play, but i havent rode it much yet either. I will continue to check over everything before I start hammering on it! I like it so far. Powerband hits hard with 14/51 gearing.

Definitely one of the fastest/hardest hitting bikes I've had.

I took a minute to see exactly which tires are on it. Front is a D952-51M- Intermediate and Rear is a MX-14. Seems like a good combo for sand or mud. That being said, I have a new set of front and rear Excel wheels and MX-33 tires on the way. Ill save these for when i need them for muddy conditions. I dont mess with sand these days. Too much trouble  and wear on everything. Sand finds a way into everything!
