yz bar mounts

Im not sure if its just my ocd kicking in but ever since I got my new bike the indicators on the bar mounts have not lined up with the bars. Ive tried to loosen everything and tighten, tried another set of new bars, no signs of the bars or mounts being bent. wondering if anyone else has this on their yz's with solid mounts. Im probably being a little crazy but winter time will do that.

Turn one of the top clamps around and see if that helps, I always let the front butt up tight and have the gap in the back meaning gas tank side

These on the yz aren’t able to be flipped. I think I’ve tried about everything other than getting a different mount. May just order the ride engineering one.

Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing, I’m just talking about turning the top piece that’s no threaded.

the top piece on the yamaha mounts seems like it can only go one way the the mounting points are unequal heights since you tighten the top bolt then the back bolt sandwiches it.

Just like with your chain adjustment marks, I'm not confident that those marks are in the same place relative to each other. Plus, it doesn't really matter to your handlebars. Just pick a side that you want to measure from and always use that mark.

my last two yzs were dead on the marks thats why this one is messing me up. probably just manufacturing tolerance or something

Just bought a second hand YZ project bike yesterday and the misalignment was the first thing I have noticed.
Also, my last YZ were also dead on the marks! I will start looking into it next week.

I ordered a second set of oem mounts since they werent to expensive..so well see

Use one side as your datum.
