I'm confused. Usually a manual tells you a specific clearance like "intake .006 +/- .001" but in this picture it's like it's giving me a range of clearances my valves can be in. Is that right? Bike is a 2010 kx250f by the way.

The range given in the manual is +/- .001".

EX= .0077" +/- .001"
IN= .0049" +/- .001"

This is saying "within the specified range"

You are over thinking it.

From the center of the range, + or - .001", is the min and max clearance.

You have a .002" range the clearance can fall within and be acceptable.
