Stripped compression adjustment screw

Rebuilding forks and found one of them have a stripped compression adjustment screw. I was able to find a whole new cap but won’t be to me for awhile. Other leg is fine. Would the bike be rideable until the new cap comes? Or be really wonky?

If its just the adjuster and its not leaking i would ride it.

Yup just adjuster, no leaks just stripped so spins and spins with no clicks. Also did not click at all when spinning onto the rod. I’ll give it a shot 👍
