Jd jetting carb yz125

I have a 2005 yz125 and need a new carb and was thinking of a jd KEIHIN carb part #JDKH38. Anybody have experience w/ these? How does it help the bike w/ performance?

For the price of those you can buy the Stock YZ Mikuni. The Mikuni runs very good on the YZ125. If you get a Keihin you will probably be chasing your tail trying to get the jetting dialed and that will be an additional cost for jets, needles, and possibly a slide which is big bucks. If you get the Mikuni from Yamaha it will come pre loaded with the stock YZ jetting and be pretty plug-n-play.

If you go the YZ Mikuni route, I suggest you get the 2006-2010 version. They changed the needle in 2006 and it was a little better than the 2005 version.
