2005 YZ125 Shifting Problem

Shifts down to 1st fine but from 1st to 2nd gear it doesn’t want to shift unless your very high up in rpms and even then it takes a few tries. Every other gear works fine. it only happens when going from 1st to 2nd. Trying to figure out what needs to be fixed. Thanks

Worn/bent shifting fork, or engagement dogs are rounded or chipped a piece.

I’m with Mike on this one. I have a 97 yz125, and it WOULD NOT shift to 3rd gear all the sudden. I had 1st and 2nd, but wouldn’t hit 3rd. There was a piece of clutch plate that broke off, and was up in there keeping it from shifting to 3rd.
