Valve question

I have oil buildup on the valves is this normal?

Smartass answer: A picture of the valves would help...

Serious answer: What you have there is normal, you need oil up there to lubricate the cam lobes and lifter buckets.

Thanks for not being a smart ass. Why is there no oil on the front two?

That's a low spot on the intake cams so it doesn't drain out when you shut the engine off, but the exhaust side is high and it drains back down to the cases.
