My son's best friend just bought a Stage-2 Hot Cam for his 2015 CRF250. He's already installed FMF 4.1 slip-ons a few weeks ago, and his dad (who doesn't know a lot about bikes) is concerned that with the addition of the cam, he's going to need to remap the bike. The mechanic who's installing the cam doesn't know either. Personally, I've never even modded a carbureted bike with a cam, so I'm not much help, either. I've done high-comp pistons and exhaust systems, and I've always fattened up the jetting, so I assume that the answer is going to be yes. No other mods have been done to the bike, btw, just the slip-ons. Any opinions?

It will not need a remap, but mapping can improve it of course. I've done plenty of cam swaps for crf's for people and they ran great with stock mapping. What makes it best is that cam is a drop-in cam, no need to reshim at all.

A remap is a great mod, $50-80 bucks, do it and use some vp u4.4 or renegade sx4, you will be amazed
