is what i love about this country! we can debate, ride dirt cycles and then all go home happily with out killing each other. as some of you may have noticed i think way to hard and none of my ideas end up in what i write. But, alas, someone here always comes to the rescue with what i really meant.

You actually are right…sometimes. Wink

But simply repeating faulty conventional wisdom until your opponents grow weary and give up is not “being right.”

This is why propaganda by re-definition is so effective. Just the word "citizen" could mean "a free man" or "one who works for the state" or any almost unlimited number of things. Now words do have meanings or definitions and they can and do change over time. So any two people can have a conversation where they come away with a different experience all together. How many definitions are there to the word "to"? I don't know about twenty. When was the last time you heard someone say "Put the door to" ? Of course that means to close the door but it is hardly ever used. Another thing not mentioned is fixed ideas. People have fixed ideas. You could say opinion but it less precise. Here is a test. Take a person that you spend a lot of time disagreeing with in the no holds barred "non-moto" section and go over to the "moto" section and just look at their posts there. Might be a little unfair example because of all of the emotion tied into politics, religion etc. but you get my point.
