I saw tons of bikes with the red dirt all over them. I mean a lot.
Tourism is seriously down. Compared to last year...it was nothing. Which was nice.
We might actually buy a place there as a nest-egg investment. My wife's father already owns a few properties. So we'll see. I'd rather buy some land...but need to study up. Either way like more than any other tropical places. Just enough jungle vibe, and just enough civilization.

Kawboy--Milk is $7 a gallon and simple lunch at this Grill in Princeville was usually $80 for 4 people. But we don't pay any rent or anything as my wife's dad owned the place we stayed.
lookin for a get away with the wife, so ill check it out, that pic you have of the mountain was pretty enticing to wake up to every morning.
i realised i was getting old when i could be happy waking up looking at a mountain while drinking my coffee!

and of course"spouting HORN"..they named that place after my old grand pappy..old spouting Horn..LOLacrooss the street from there was a huge riding area for me..trails and some homemade tracks
that whole area was one of my favorite places to fish on my waterbike..mahi-mahi...tuna..ulua..papio..barracuda..eku..kava kava..i would skirt along the reefs just where it gets dark..
to eat cheap,ya got to go to costco and other wholesale places..eating out or buying food from foodland in princeville is pricey
yep.tourism is down,but with all the hurricanes out east ,it won't be too bad...our whole state has used 15% less gas..
its getting crowded in Kauai..the local people are not happy about it..the super ferry won't go there..it comes here to maui and Oahu and thats it..kauai people don't want the super ferry and the extra traffic
I'm glad you enjoyed one of the most beautiful places i have ever lived..maui doesn't come close to kauai's beauty

My Mom-in-law just went to Hawaii, and told us about milk prices, I mused about a small dairy farm, but soon found out just how much flat land is actually available....$7.00/gal. it is.

My cousin has a farm on the big island. Those pics are making me think I need to pay him a visit.
I'd certainly get out there...it took me 4 days to recover from being so relaxed.
