I have to be very careful towing my Tower boat it is taller than most gas station roofs and a few stop lights. It could get ugly if you are not paying attention. I have only clipped one stop light with the railing post that folds and didn't have a scratch. I leave it up as it is a few inches taller than everything as a sort of warning indicator. lol The whole tower is made to fold down but if you never have to, you are better off not doing it because the wiring that gets stressed when folded. Mine is actually taller than allowed but that is the perk when a mech off your race team startes working for marine welding company.
