At the National Hare & Hound in Utah, during the mini race for kids........kid goes down, sweep carries him to the pits.......they go back for the bike.........and it's gone. I'd like to get ahold of a muthafucka who steal's a kid's KX65 off the course during a race. That's a mufuggin' beat down that needs to happen.

I'm more inclined to suspect a spectator. At an event like that.......if somebody recovered it with "good" intentions.......in my mind they would have taken it to pit row or one of the checks........where it's owner would have been located. If that was the case, and the owner couldnt' claim it..........the standard is that somebody in the hosting club takes it home and secures it. Not like this doesn't happen once in a while, a rider shows up to race by himself, eat's shit, and takes a ride in the red bus.........the hosting clubs know how to handle and deal with left behind bikes, gear, equipment, and even trucks.
I do truly hope it's a communication issue, and the bike is sitting safely in somebody's garage awaiting it's rightful owner.......but somehow, the fact that nobody knows it's whereabouts tells me that somebody snagged it.
I caught myself after the fact. I was meaning that is LOW period not withstanding cultural activities.
You have seen it on RaceDezert and on District Sites. People find things or pull things from the course and then post it a few days later. Found - Wheel and strap, etc. I am hoping someone pulled it from the course and will come clean with it. I believe everyone in that group knows how hard it is to come by our toys. So stealing is just wrong.
Exactly.
I sure hope someone took it and has/had every intention to get it back to who it belonged to.
My only other thought is what if the kid didn't remember exactly where he crashed??
Then it could still be out there in the woods somewhere or a worker could have drug it up to the sign up building or tower.
