Never used it but it's getting pretty wild. It's not just for gaming either. I was watching something a while back and this real estate developer in New York was using the technology to walk clients through their apartments and showing them what the view from their floor would be. Only makes sense when you're going to spend 10+ million bucks for a place that won't be ready for a couple of years.
Pretty sure some militaries also use it for training.
I still haven't purchased it for gaming but I thought about it. I might once there's more games out for it.
I saw something that was pretty cool. This guy was playing a shooter but he was standing on some sort of treadmill platform that allowed him to switch direction (full 360) walk/run just like he was the guy in the game. Not sure how much that rig costs or if it's even available to the public yet but it was pretty amazing. Takes up a lot of space in a room but I could see them in arcades/movie theaters that sort of thing.
Amazing how much it plays with your brain to make you think you're right there experiencing whatever it is that is going on.
Even the porn industry is capitalizing on it. They're now making movies for the VR users that want to experience what it's like fucking "insert porn actress name". Look it up lol.
"Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower."
