It's the perfect name for the day. Canada Day is purely to celebrate being Canadian, and we don't expect anyone who's not to understand. You have to be Canadian to understand Canada Day and thats OK.

And yes, most of the country has the day off to party and set off/watch fireworks and such. Many people also get Friday of so for some of us (me included) it's a 4 day weekend!

Anyhoo, Happy Canada Day and happy 4th to all my American friends!
