Bob "Hurricane" Hannah, 2006 Napa Valley Merlot
Bob “Hurricane” Hannah, one of greatest and most colorful motocross racers of all time. On top of his six AMA National Championships in motocross and supercross, he was the first American rider to win the prestigious Trans-AMA series in 1978 after ten years of European domination. This special bottling of 2006 Napa Valley Merlot commemorates the achievements of this true American Champion.
Wine Notes:
Aged in French oak barrels for 20 months, the 2006 'Hurricane' Napa Valley Merlot is an intensely layered fruit driven wine dominated by tones of currant, blackberry and chocolate. Big, complex and surely one for the cellar. Will drink well through 2013. 100% Napa Valley Merlot. 900 commemorative bottles produced.
Dave, I bet you have a huge smile on your face, and feel so proud. Congrats!!
Overall, the team did well, but even with minor miscues, she never lost focus or her smile, she was professional.
I can't teach her to cheer, but I can teach her that she can only be responsible for her own performnce, and if she does her part perfectly and professionally, even when things go bad, no matter that outcome, she's a winner.
Interesting story of the day was this one girl pegged her foot or twisted her ankle when she was dropped from a lift/flight (toss in the air thing) and you could see in her face something was wrong, we thought she was just pissed and upset, as she was crying but kept going in her routine. When it ended, she fell to the floor and her teammates carried her off.
Then she came back three more times during the day for different divisions, each time with more tape on her ankle and gutted it out, you could see the pain in her face, near tears the entire time. She wasn't able to fake the smile or look "happy" but she gutted out her spots and lifts/flights and finished each routine
I felt so bad for her, but at the same time so proud of her, even though I have no idea who she is
Pit Row
Tell her I said good job, Dave.
Congrats to your daughter!
