I'm a SoCal guy since birth. I can handle the heat, but this is a little odd. It's 112 f in my back yard in Norwalk CA right now. I have 2 thermometers. One is an expensive digital, the other one is a cheap bulb type. They both say the same thing. I'm not sure I believe it.

I'm not in HB anymore. I wish I was. I'd pick up 3 degrees.

^^^ We've had a mild Summer, so Mother Nature decided to give a little reminder of what we missed out on.

It's freezing here. 41 this morning when I was supposed to be water skiing. 65 right now. Low tonight is going to be higher--49! Hope the lake isn't fogged over tomorrow morning.

I rode my motorcycle to work (50 miles) this morning around 9:00am. It was 48 degrees. My nipples almost got hard. I think it was low 60s on the way home, beautiful riding weather actually!

Nice place. I surfed there one or twice back in the 60's. Further North at Trestles too.

On the news last night they showed where at (santa monica I think it was) the pier it was like 78 degrees yet only 1.5 miles inland at the airport it was 101. A freaking mile and a half.

We saw 109 and change at the ranch here the other day and that was a record for us.

Went on a road ride Sunday. Took off at 7:30 and finished at 11. Must have been at least a 100. I drank like a fish and still lost 6 lbs. Went 45 miles and the last 10 were fugly. I couldnt even draft. Kept getting dropped cause I was on the verge of puking.

This morning had a run scheduled. Just 3 miles but.. so I got up at 5:30 and it was still 78. Had to wait an hour until I could see outside. Wasnt all that bad but holy crap this shit is weird. We started off having one of the coolest summers I can remember only to finish off and enter fall like as if we were living in Abu Daubi.

Austerity measures. A friend has a 4br house that's basically a train wreck. I'll fix it up for him and live on the cheap until I get back on my feet.

Norwalk was also one of my stomping grounds back in the early 70's. We used to play at a place called Golden West Ballroom. There was another place where we used to have hall parties over on Front St I believe.

Man I used to go to the Golden West Ballroom in the early 70s. Great times, well at least what I can remember. Seems I got pretty wasted there. Wasted enough to dance Smile I was living is Seal Beach then.

Lived in Lakewood too as a really small kid back in the mid to late 50's.

We must have crossed paths a few times in the last 10 months, I am at Cardiff Fit often.
