you know I never did. I know they were around about the same time I was at UNC, but I don't remember them playing there any. I'm sure they did, though. I just read their wiki page and it sounds like something I certainly would like.

Got something new to check out. I love it!!!

I've been to "a couple" Wink of SCOTS shows; my wife and I actually saw them 2x last month when they played the Lincoln in Raleigh and then a week later at the Cradle -
next time they play local, I'll check with you about going -

Dillon Fence is playing a set @ Lincoln tomorrow night as part of the Gov inaugural.

I can't make it but you should if possible. The last time I saw them ( a couple of years ago) they were as tight as the day they quit

I saw them open up for The Reverend Horton Heat at the HOB in Vegas back in 2000.
They had a lot of funny choreography to go with the Mexican wrestling masks, but stayed pretty true to the original tone and feel of surf music. Perfect band for that gig. Of course, The Reverend kicked ass. Psychobilly rules!

Slow ~ Pro, it's hilarious that hardcore D.D. fans refer to themselves as "Dickheads".

thanks for the heads-up Dean, that'd be cool - unfortunately, I'm heading up to Newport News later this afternoon Sad I've seen Greg Humphreys play a time or two, but I don't recall having seen Dillon Fence -

First album I ever bought was Surf Beat by Dick Dale. Musta been 62'. Finally got some exposure when the Pulp Fiction soundtrack came out. Before that it was mainly a west coast thing. Miserlou rocks. Grew up in So Cal listening to him, the Beach Boys, the Ventures, Pipeline, Wipeout etc. SRV did a mean version of Pipeline.
