I love this series. It's definitely my favorite series on TV. The new season starts on October 2nd. Does anyone else love this series as much as me? I'm looking forward to it for sure, especially the one on Bo Jackson.
My personal favs were Gretzky's, Ricky Williams, Pablo Escobar, and Chris Herring's.
The USFL one was good also.... like I said, too many to list.

Bo may be the closest thing to Superman we see for a long time!
It was awesome.
Sure, guys worked out back then, but the demands of the job arent what they are today. EVERYONE is huge nowadays. Back then, if you were that big and lean, it was usually more due to natural "gifts". So the gap between the monsters like Bo and the average player were a lot bigger.
These days with modern supplements and training, the margins are so small. Anyone with the right determination can drastically change their body.
But yeah, nobody is going to ever be 225 of solid muscle that can run a 4.12 and also slam home runs. Hands down the greatest athlete we will ever see in our lifetime.
For those of us who remember, when the whole "Bo Knows" campaign was going on, he was Nike's first choice to be their marquee athlete to build around. Michael Jordan was #2. MJ was a co-star in Bo's commercials, not the other way around. When Bo got hurt that opened the door for MJ to become what he became thanks to Nike's marketing machine.
Im not trying to take anything away from MJ, because he's my all-time favorite player. But rather, illustrate just how big of a deal Bo really was for that brief time and maybe what shoulda/coulda been. The documentary was entertaining but I think it coulda touched on his Nike relationship a bit more, especially in comparison to MJ to help drive it's point home.
