Cool to see him make the move over to 4 wheels so quickly. They are doing a round of this series in Texas this year btw.

Glad he's chosen to race cars that turn right as well as left!

How many road circuits do they visit each year though, two?

To be fair NASCAR is probably one of those sports you really need to see in person to appreciate fully, and I haven't so I shouldn't pass comment. But I don't understand why they opt for so many Cookie Cutter tracks instead of more road circuits? Is it just that Oval racing is more in keeping with tradition?

Tradition and that it is more appealing to the spectator eye and dollar, you get to see everything and you get the most viewing for your buck.

I personally would love more road races in NASCAR, it would be great if they would go to Road Atlanta (my favorite track - that and Mugello) and I think stock cars are perfect for a street circuit. Hell they are trying to project the image of a road car on the track, it would be some good door slamming like the V8s.

Having Nascars on road tracks just looks wrong, and they are slow as hell. I couldn't care less if they raced on 2 a year or 0. Not to the say the drivers are bad, (they are some of the best in the world) but the Nascar platform just doesn't work for road courses.

It's like riding Supermoto bikes on road courses. Yes, it will work, but does it look wrong? Yes.
