I have a 2011 ram r/t and after I do some 1 7/8 long tubes with a true dual 2.5" x pipe, I was going to go for a cam or procharger. Leaning towards the cam, but how is the reliability as a daily? I work inconstrucrion and drive around Phoenix usually no more than 50 miles a day usually. Not gonna go with a full roller but probably just a mild can with taller lobes. Any opinions?

Personally, I'd go with the pro charger all day long. It'll drive like it does now, but with a bunch more giddy-up. And you can play with pulley size to adjust boost for different situations. With a cam, you got what you got.

True, it's just about drivability to me really. Don't wanna have to worry about running it too hard in the heat here in the summers (last week was 122) so I'll have to think about it haha

I had a '92 mustang 5.0 LX that I bought new that had everything done to it but the short block. Vortech with an intercooler, GT-40 aluminum heads, supercharger friendly cam, full roller rockers, 80mm mass air, 24lb injectors, MSD, long tubes, no cats, etc..

It ran consistent 10:80's at 130, and I drove it as an everyday vehicle, even in the SoCal heat in the summer. I kept the AC and everything. Averaged about 16mpg too.

As long as you drive it like a normal vehicle it'd be fine in an AZ summer.

I dunno, I'd do some research and probably go with the cam. Talk to a few reputable builders before deciding on duration and all that and you can have some good power without drivability issues.

The issue with Rams and a turbo or supercharger is the tuning, the Mopar PCM/ECM is not friendly.

Is it wrong that I instantly thought of Dianna Dahlgren and Webcams?

Cams are fun when combining with headers and exhaust. Depending on the cam, you could possibly need a stall added. Biggest downfall is the amount of sound during certain occasions. Depending on the cam, it's a pain to shut off because you're in a drive through. My DD has a cam, headers, and 2300 stall. Livable during most occasions. Keep in mind neighbors and kids sleeping if you have them.
