Most certainly. But you gotta admit, he nailed the fuck out of his last song. Just have to accept that 90% of the voters are preteen girls.

Of the last 2 I think Phillip was the right one to win but honestly it does not matter.... of the top 10 probably 5 are going to make it in the industry.

Adam Lambart did not win but he is out there making music and putting on concerts like he won.

You won't find a bigger Adam Lambert fan, but I don't think he's going to last. He had a few good songs on his first CD, though not the style of music I was expecting if you believed who he said his influences were (like Bowie, Queen, classic rock...). And his music was even better live than it was in the studio. Saw him in concert and thoroughly enjoyed it. But at first listen, his new CD sucks. He has gone completely techno pop dance music. He debuted at #1, but with far less than half the number of sales that his first CD debuted with. His first two singles released just aren't doing well, and without consistent airplay his CD will quickly plummet down the charts.
If you want to hear some good rock, get James Durbin's CD. Unlike Lambert, what you saw on Idol is what you get on the CD with Durbin. Saw him in concert last week, and he was very, very good. He's a notch heavier than Daughtry, and has a decent variety on his CD ( unlike Daughtry, whose every song sounds the sound, and worse, sounds like Nickleback). And even more importantly, Durbin has a soild oung bamd backing him. His guitarist's sound is heavily influenced by Zakk Wylde, though in concert he goes a tad overboard copyong Zakk's stance and movements, lol. If you give it a listen, be sure to get the CD with the bonus tracks, because "Liberate" is missing from the regular copy and might be his best song. If you want to sample a couple tunes, listen to Liberate, Stand Up, and also Outcast (which feature Mick Mars on guitar).

Wow another white guy with a guitar won......now that's a surprise.

American Idol needs to be put out to pasture IMO.

My mom loves Adam too. I'm thinking the dance release is a&r bullshit done soulessly for sales. Love Durbin that kid has a rockers heart. Thanks for the info, I'll check it out. Right now, I'm downloading soundcloud ableton for recording. It's free till the end of may.
